Aman's new brand, Janu, is located in Tokyo's recently opened Azabudai Hills, an innovative development designed by some of the world's greatest architectural visionaries, including Japan's tallest skyscraper by Pelli Clarke & Partners, and the ground floor of one of Thomas Heatherwick's green urban environments. Azabudai Hill is a community concept of a "city within a city" that combines nature, culture, and art.
The multi-level landscape of Azabudai Hill is punctuated with graded greenery, including orchards, vegetable gardens, and 6,000 square meters of central green space that wraps around walkways, retail rooftops, and curved courtyards that invite people to explore. Japan's tallest building stands tall with its botanical roots, a testament to the contrast and coexistence of nature and the city.
Janu is derived from the Sanskrit word for "soul". As Aman's new hotel, residential and lifestyle brand, Janu aims to enhance quality of life through richer experiences and promote human interaction, as opposed to Aman's signature of quiet seclusion.
Janu Tokyo has 8 Hotel Dining Area and social venues, twice as many restaurants as Aman Tokyo. From comfort and familiarity, to the excitement of the unknown. The hotel's culinary philosophy is rooted in Asian traditions and embraces European influences through unique French pastries and Italian cuisine. Janu's goal is to keep pushing the boundaries of cooking to shape new conversations around food.

The Spa & Wellness Center has the largest gym in Tokyo. The well-arranged lounge area features modern, bright paintings by artist Irena Orlov; Naoto Kashiwagi's artwork; Haruko Tsuji's abstract painting symbolizing the land, which surrounds the entire space in an arc in the form of waves; A lit fireplace adds a warm atmosphere to the space. Janu Tokyo is also a place where you can immerse yourself in the mind, body and spirit.
Designed by Jean-Michel Gathy of Denniston by Aman's Queen's Designer, Janu Tokyo's guest rooms present an exploration of textures, colours and design elements, presenting timeless Asian-inspired interiors and contemporary European details, with a strong focus on minimalism and symmetry, emphasizing comfort while creating a harmonious balance of energy, with many rooms connecting to neighbouring rooms and suites. Create a seamless sense of belonging for groups and families traveling together.
The utensils are beautiful, and the floral arrangements in each area of the guest room also show a restrained and quiet beauty.
